Scared?

Apparently, Notre Dame wants a break from playing Michigan in college football. According to the article copied below, the two teams will not be playing each other after the 2011 season. Could it have anything to do with the fact that Michigan has embarrassed ND a couple times recently? It's probably pretty smart: Notre Dame wants to overtake Michigan in all-time winning percentage, and they can't do that if they keep losing to Michigan.

Despite the apparent best efforts of Michigan athletic director Bill Martin, Michigan and Notre Dame may not play for two years. The same deal will follow for Michigan State. The current U-M/Notre Dame contract expires in 2011 and, according to Notre Dame athletic director Kevin White, the teams will take at least two years off. A story in the (Ala.) Press-Register today said, "White said the Fighting Irish will take a short break from their Big 10 rivals in the future, replacing Michigan with Oklahoma for a two-year period, then facing Arizona State instead of Michigan State for two years.
